Holiday Hoo-Ha
I wrote a holiday post, but I wrote it as a guest post for another blog and he hasn't put it up yet (cough cough AHEM!) so I can't link to it yet.
So how about a little trip down memory lane?
Was anyone else a small child in America in the early '70's?
Remember this commercial?
And how about this song and animated segment, from Sonny and Cher Christmas special around the same time? (A much better version was recorded by Coven for the movie Billy Jack but I didn't see that until many years later.)
Does anyone else remember watching these in prime time and wishing something like video recorders could be invented soon so we could watch them over and over, and not have to wait until we're fat, middle-aged minivan-driving moms idly trolling for memories on YouTube on New Year's Eve?
Or is it just me?

Geez! It's up already! :)
The coke commercial is classic. I think the words were written by Barry Manilow too. You can't get more 70's than that!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Of course I remember the Coke commercial. I think that's the first time I've seen that special Christmas one though. I remember the original with hippies and sunshine and the women with long hair parted down the middle au-natural style.
