Happy Valentine`s Day.
What a fucking stupid holiday -- I`m not sorry we picked it to move.
Daughter made her own valentines, and Big Son declared himself beyond that.
But I realized this morning that Little Son was supposed to give valentines to his whole preschool class today, and guess what slipped my mind? Little Son didn`t seem very excited about it when I mentioned it to him last week (before I forgot) -- last year, he appreciated the candy hearts but couldn`t care less about all the little paper cards.
So....I guess he`ll be skipping preschool today.
I still held my head up high after blowing off the preschool fundraising auction over the weekend, but I dare not send him to school and tell the teachers and other mothers, "I decided to blow off Valentine`s Day this year!"
Even though it`s true.

Eh, it's just another day. Happy Moving Day instead :) Watch out for those sneaky posts.
Valentine's Day is an insignificant holiday to me. We are having a snow day, so the daycare Valentine's day party is postponed until tomorrow. Instead, the four of us are here at home.

The girls all informed me at around 6 yesterday that they needed to bring something to the class party. I had figured that wasn't being done in middle school. Wrong. I went flying out and bought cupcakes for all.
They still do the valentines too. Valentine's Day isn't way up there on my list of Hallmark Holidays but as long as the kids enjoy giving valentines to the kids they've tormented the day before I can live with it.

Maya's school forbids cartoon characters or candy for V day, which means you either have to make the cards yourself or spend more money, neither of which I was too thrilled about. Luckily (well, not REALLY luckily) Maya is sick today, so I don't have to worry about it. Whew. Another bullet dodged.
Eh, like you don't have enough to do? I'm in full support of you blowing off V-day. We always celebrate ours on a different day anyway. Now go move already! We're cheering for ya.
We did get the BoyChild Valentine's to give to his classmates, but we didn't do anything else. The Hubs said we were pikers but I whined, "but I've been sick."
We take possession of our new house tomorrow -- HUH is that the neighbours at the door now with the key??
Ok tonight.. We are 3 outta 4 sick and I f'd up Valentines too. I was just looking over some pink paper down stairs and contemplated doing some handmades tonight for a second. PASS.
