A Quickie
Okay, after posting a record THREE LOOOOONG posts yesterday, I will try to keep today`s post brief.
Lately, everyone`s been telling me I look as if I lost some weight -- in fact, if I had a dime for everytime someone said that, I would have made far, far more than I`ve made from Google ad c*l*i*c*k*s. According to our bathroom scale, I have lost a whopping two pounds. Not a huge amount, but heading in the right direction.
But at the end of last week, I went to see my doctor, and according to her scale, I have GAINED EIGHT pounds, since I last saw her in October.
So instead of praise, I got all the, "What foods are you eating? Are you really exercising?" questions.
Damn %$#! piece of shit Ikea scale....

And now you know why I won't have one of the nasty things in the house.
I'd rather listen to the people who say haven't you lost a little weight.
I just spelled that wiehgt. Yikes.
The scale I have at home is like 10 lbs off in a good way. So I was in shock when I went to WW for my first weigh and I was 10 lbs heavier than I thought. Like 10 lbs at my weight makes a huge difference. But I digress. I'm going to throw that one away. Our shipping scale at work is right on with the WW scale I visit every week. Shipping scale, makes me feel like a huge PACKAGE.
Blech. Sorry. Doctor scales suck, though.
Hey I JUST thought of something about your GP's gettng fixed. Call Foothill College and see if they can use them to train their vet techs on in their vet tech program. I figure they gotta do some of that kinda stuff like training ppl how to do operations with a real vet. I donno they may not but the NEXT place would be UC Davis and that is a long long ways a way. Ok that was totally off topic but I thought it still might be worth it. And I think that pine shavings would be less harmful in the eat of then the newspaper recycle paper. There is also a corn based bedding I donno how expensive it is or if GP would even like it but it totally safe..... I mean it is CORN..... and the mice always like it a ton.
I'm with the "no scale" crowd. If I had a scale, I'd obsess on it.
Perhaps you have some doctor-visit induced weight. You know, the same way your blood pressure goes up for doctor visits, your weight goes up just for the time in the office. It seems possible to me.
tell me about it...
I avoid scale whenever I decide to lose weight :D
scales are NASTY! We have one but I refuse to use it. I check my weight whenever we go to the vet - they have one of those humongous things there to weigh domestic animals.
And I can't wait until I go to Japan in December. I always lose weight there like crazy.
Now let me finish my box of caramel butter cashew popcorn.
:-)
Yeah, I tried losing weight once. He found me. LOL
