Pigs R Us

The Three Little Pigs have arrived, rechristened as Tim, Jessica and Monkey. They have what will undoubtedly be an expensive pedicure appointment Friday morning, at the animal doctor`s.
Edward said he just cut their toenails a month ago -- I guess he`s not cutting them short enough, because they`re long and curly, especially the back ones.

He cleaned their cages, and also brought over brand new unopened bags of wood shavings and food pellets. I bought some Timothy hay for them, and we fed them some broccoli stems and carrots, too. The two females are in a separate wire cage from the male, so we won`t have to worry about the pitter-patter of little feet (no mammal babies of any species in my house, please!). They are all chubby, docile, older guinea pigs.

I found this photo of Edward, on his Chow dog site. You know how they say people start to look like their pets....? *

I`m going to bake him some bread.

*(Will I start looking like the guinea pigs? I`m already chubby and docile.... Uh-oh....)

If you start looking like them that could be good news for your hair right? guinea pigs always have really great hair, me thinks.

You don't have to worry about looking like them unless you start making random squealy noises when someone brushes up against you in the grocery store. SQUEEA! SQUEEEA!

Ha ha! Maybe that's MY problem -- my inner self doesn't know whether I should most resemble a guinea pig, a dog, a cat, a horse, an ox, a donkey, a mule, or a goat!?!??!?!!
Let's not even talk about the catfish & the turtles in my pond, OK? & aren't you glad I placed the boa constrictor in a foster home!

Monkey? Isn't Monkey good enough to get a "real" name? Or is it that Tim & Jessica are to boring to get cute names?

You are a brave woman, taking on all three. I wouldn't even take one. I have heard they make good pets though. Love the names.
