The Eve of Destruction

My parents are coming to visit tomorrow, so please forgive me if I`m a little.....tense.

Now excuse me while I go clean my house. This would be a perfectly normal, reasonable thing to do, if our cleaning person hadn`t already done it this afternoon. But she might have missed a fleck of dust, goddamnit! And that fleck could be the one that lodges in my mother`s eye.

You know?

why do we feel the need to impress our parents with a clean house? I am going to start boycotting that.

Do you need to borrow a vacuum cleaner bag?

hehehe
Our parents give us the biggest headaches, I dread to think what my own daughter is going to think of me in the future.

Oh my..... well..... hummmm atleast this time of year the bay area is so green and nice looking..... and it is suppose to warm up so you COULD actually do some of the neato touristy stuff with them .... unless of course they have done them....... if they have done them then maybe they would take the GRANDKIDS to do them and you and your hubby could escape....

BTW and totally OT Andrea you got the BEST PIC EVER and I am green .... well no actually I am colorless but I would be green if I could with envy.

I say eff 'em.

If they have a problem with a damn fleck of dust, that is their problem, and only their problem.

Yes, I know, easier said than done. Then again, I have the little white pills (or wine) on my side....

Sorry I can't relate. My mom is totally laid back.

However, bring on them ants!!!

My mom is COMPLETELY laid back, and yet a visit prompts MUCH cleaning and scrubbing, and somehow the desire for a new lawn...which is odd, since we live in a condo with a tiny brick patio out back...
